ATS

ATS stands for Automatic Transfer Switch. It is a device that automatically transfers the power source from the main supply to the backup generator when it detects a power outage. When the main power is restored, it switches back automatically.

MTS

MTS stands for Manual Transfer Switch. It is a device that requires manual intervention to transfer the power source from the main supply to the backup generator and vice versa.

AVR

AVR stands for Automatic Voltage Regulator. It is a device that automatically maintains a constant voltage level to protect electrical equipment from voltage fluctuations. This ensures that your appliances receive a stable voltage, preventing damage from power surges or dips.

1. Switch the MTS to the generator position.
2. Start the generator.
3. Once power is restored, turn off the generator and switch the MTS back to the main power supply.

The runtime of a backup generator depends on:

• Fuel Capacity: Larger fuel tanks allow longer runtimes.
